Tickets to the heavy-hitters aren’t open to the general public, but here’s a fact you may not know: There are some designer shows and events you can actually go to. Plus, some of the shows will be livestreamed this year. Where is New York Fashion Week 2023?
Just like last year, New York Fashion Week will be held in person in 2023. Spring Studios at 50 Varick Street will function as the main headquarters but designers are planning on hosting runway shows all throughout the city.
If you can’t make it in person, though, worry not: Some of the shows will be livestreamed on NYFW.com. The Council of Fashion Designers of America, the agency behind New York Fashion Week, will also stream events on its Runway 360 hub.
Plus, you can also expect fashion houses to livestream their own shows through their social media accounts all throughout the week.
How do I get tickets to New York Fashion Week 2023?
NYFW includes two types of shows: Industry and open-to-the-public shows. Unless you’re a buyer or work in press, it is unlikely that you’ll be able to snag a seat to the heavy hitters. However, you can nab tickets to the public shows here.
You can also snag tickets to get into Spring Studios to check out a cool installation in the lobby called The Afterpay Xperience.
What designers should I be watching out for?
Seventy-four runway shows are on the schedule this year. The American collections return with Rodarte kicking the week off on Friday, February 10, and LUAR closing it on the evening of Wednesday, February 15, 2023, per CFDA. Other shows will feature: Altuzarra, Anna Sui, AREA, Batsheva, Brandon Maxwell, Carolina Herrera, Coach, Collina Strada, Dion Lee, Eckhaus Latta, Elena Velez, Gabriela Hearst, Jason Wu Collection, KHAITE, LaQuan Smith, Michael Kors, Palomo Spain, Prabal Gurung, Proenza Schouler, Puppets & Puppets, Sergio Hudson, Simkhai, Sukeina, Tory Burch, Ulla Johnson, Who Decides War and Willy Chavarria, among others.
First-time additions to the schedule’s in-person activations include Heron Preston, Koltson, Cucculelli Shaheen, Ayama Studio, Kallmeyer, Kate Barton, Nayon, and Zimo.
